Kasko insurance FAQ
What is kasko insurance in Turkey?
Kasko (from the Italian "casco") is comprehensive car insurance in Turkey. Unlike the compulsory traffic insurance, kasko covers damage to your own vehicle — from accidents, theft, fire, floods, hail, vandalism and more.
Do I need kasko if I already have traffic insurance?
Traffic insurance only covers damage you cause to others. If your own car is damaged, traffic insurance pays nothing. Kasko fills that gap. It's optional but highly recommended, especially for newer or higher-value vehicles.
What types of kasko are there?
There are two main types: full kasko (tam kasko) which covers all risks, and partial kasko (mini kasko) which covers fire, theft and natural disasters but not collision damage. We'll help you choose based on your vehicle and budget.
Is kasko available for foreign-plate vehicles?
Kasko is designed for Turkish-plate vehicles. If you have a foreign-plate car, you need foreign plate insurance instead — which we also offer. Speak to us if you're unsure which applies to you.
